Sherri Lataé, a notable & influential hair care specialist, colorist, and fashion plate; has used her gifts and talents to create a CoutureLife brand since 1993. With hair extension and Customize Colour being two of her specialties, her custom sew-in has been known to last for months and is widely celebrated amongest her clients. By merging her nutritional products, her sew-ins have gained her popularity because of how lustrous and natural it looks, blends, and feels and once the sew-in is removed the natural hair retains more length and integrity. She is also widely known for perfectly executing "Bougie Blondes" on black hair and helping the hair to grow and maintain its integrity through the process. Colour and hair care is easily her favorite thing to do!
A second generation cosmetologist, Sherri Latae picked up her creative and artistic talents from her father, Anthony "Spike" McRae, an accomplished drummer and cosmetologist. At 4 years old she began demonstrating her artistic abilities and at 11 began to turn it into a thriving business. She effectively uses a comb and scissor like a painter uses a paintbrush to create one of kind custom masterpieces for the hair. She believes that God has given her the passion, love, and dedication needed to help people in her community and today’s Beauty Industry. Sherri’s mission is to enhance women physically, mentally, financially, and spiritually using Proverb 31 as her guide. The CoutureLife brand not only touches hair but also touches hearts.
During her 30 year career, her edgy yet distinguished custom colours have graced the pages of hair care magazines, billboards, newspapers, & many advertisements. She has had full page ads in magazines such as ‘Sophisticate's Black Hair Styles and Care Guide, National Solid Gold, Style Q, Coiffure, and Black Passion. Sherri’s print work has afforded her opportunities to do styling work for hair shows, T.V. shows, fashion shows, hair competition’s, and charity events. She has also had the opportunity to study under some of the hair industries leading professionals including, Kim Kimble, Terrence Davidson, Derek J, Tokyo Styles. Barry Fletcher, Penna’e, and Joe Dudley Sr. Her recurring training with Dudley University, Farouk Systems, ‘Secret Millionaire’s’ Dani Johnson, and mentorship by Kim Kimble, has kept her focused and determined to be a household name.
